On March 3, a conference on the organization of the High-Level Forum was held in the city of Incheon, Republic of Korea, under the organization of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
Speaking at the Conference with the participation of 44 countries and various UN agencies, the President of the UN Economic and Social Council, Friedrich Musiva Makamura Shawa, spoke about the development goals set out by the participating countries in order to achieve the development goals arising from the "Transformation of our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development". He informed the participants of the event about the tasks ahead and drew attention to the work done in the direction of preparing reports for the High-Level Forum.
Huseyn Huseynov, head of the Secretariat of the National Coordinating Council for Sustainable Development of Azerbaijan, chaired the first session of the conference, where the reports of 5 countries, namely Denmark, Bangladesh, Honduras, Ethiopia and Costa Rica, were presented.
The session discussed the importance of achieving sustainable development goals and the challenges faced, including data collection and calculation of indicators. In the direction of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, the work done in Azerbaijan and the tasks ahead were reported.
The conference ended with group discussions.
